*TRIBAL FEST VIDEO AND PHOTO GUIDELINES*

quick answers

Besides being the first Tribal-themed BellyDance festival, Tribal Fest was also the first to allow the public to videotape. Please familiarize yourself with the following guidelines. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

* ALL recording devices, still or moving, are for your PERSONAL USE ONLY. There is no commercial use of any portion of any footage taken from Tribal Fest allowed anywhere without written consent from The Performers (or others being filmed), Their Recording Labels, and the Tribal Fest Producer. ALSO: listen for any announcements from any Performers that request you do not film, and abide by their request if so. Thank you for being respectful of the Performers.

* Please do not post footage of other performers on any public forum without their knowledge and consent.

* When posting your own to YouTube, Facebook, Twitter or wherever, please mention it was filmed at Tribal Fest, and put "Tribal Fest" in the tags. Mahalo!

* You may not videotape the workshops. Even if it were OK with the teacher, it would be distracting. Plus, many teachers have DVDs to sell.

* Still photography is allowed. No flashes right at a dancer, please! Be kind and thoughtful if using a camera of any kind and don't distract the Performers or Audience members. Thanks!

* Don't stand up from your chair, blocking other audience members to get "that shot".

* The Producer and Staff have the right to ask you to stop filming or to move if you're blocking reasonable sight lines or are in the center aisle. Please do not block vision from the Sound Booth, Chuck needs to see the stage! Same goes for The Producer, who is often at the Tribal Fest/BlackSheep BD booth.

* Please, no tripods in the center aisle. However, you may use a low tripod from your seat if on the aisle. If you do, make sure this tripod is over your leg and not extending into the aisle at all.

* Rows of chairs are staggered, so finding a spot to shoot from with a hand-held camera should work pretty well.

* All of the above agreements MUST be abided by or you may be asked to leave without a refund, or to take your camera to your car to stow it. We ALL thank you for your kind consideration of the policies and of others around you.

Mahalo Nui Loa (thank you very much)!
